How to Use a Cedar Smudge Stick
1. Set an Intention
Example intention:
“I invite protection, grounding, and peace into this space.”
 
2. Light the Cedar
    •    Light the tip of the smudge stick
    •    Let it burn for 10–15 seconds
    •    Gently blow out the flame so it smolders
Place ashes in a fireproof bowl or shell.
 
3. Smudge the Space or Yourself
For a space:
    •    Move clockwise around the room
    •    Focus on doorways, corners, and windows
    •    Move slowly and intentionally
For yourself:
    •    Waft smoke around your body
    •    Especially around the heart, shoulders, and feet
 
4. Close the Smudge
    •    Extinguish the smudge in sand or press the tip gently into a bowl
    •    Take a deep breath
    •    Thank the cedar for its protection
